I started my Bachelor in Science in 2006, and will be graduating in May 2011. Since the start of post-secondary education, I have completed three 4-month co-op terms; one with the cardiovascular research group at the Life Sciences Centre (UBC) and the other two at the Centre for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona, Spain. I am currently completing my last co-op term here at the Hallam Lab. My work focuses on the quantification of archaeal DNA from marine water samples as well as the generation of pyrotags for the investigation of microbial communities in coal beds.
